Engineering management is a specialised field of management concerned specifically with the engineering sector. Reflecting industry demand for management-focused engineers, this course is designed to extend the knowledge, skills and ability of graduates in engineering, technology and applied science to the level required of senior management positions in the engineering industry.

Industrial productivity and performance of many manufacturing companies is considered by many to be of concern. Part of the underlying cause of this problem is the lack of highly-educated and trained engineering and technology graduates entering the Engineering Management discipline. There has never been a more important time for businesses to have technically competent managers.

During this course you will study advanced modules covering such areas as; strategic management, new product development, supply chain planning and control and total quality engineering, these modules should provide you with a greater depth of knowledge and skill. Graduates of this course are likely to progress to roles as an engineering manager.
