Data Analytics MSc

The University of Huddersfield offers an MSc in Data Analytics, combining practical work with experiential learning to prepare students for a satisfying career in data science. The course covers statistics, data mining techniques, big data, and complex data visualization. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to analyze and visualize complex datasets, evaluate data science technology, and provide novel data solutions to stakeholders. The course is aligned with SAS, a multinational enterprise providing analytical solutions and training courses. It is also fully accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), allowing students to partially fulfill academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer and IT Professional.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • A BSc or BEng Honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent professional qualification in any subject.
  • Applicants with other appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.
  • IELTS Requirements for Non-English Speakers
    Minimum English Language qualification: 6.5 overall, 6.0 in writing.
