This integrative course provides you with a comprehensive knowledge of the key areas of accounting and finance, and prepares you for a career in management where an accounting and finance focus is required.

The course blends accounting and business finance theory to solve problems faced by managers on a daily basis. Your studies bring theory and practice together, applying both to situations where vital financial decisions have to be made. Areas of study may include financial markets; portfolio management; financial reporting and analysis; management accounting and financial planning; strategic management; and performance achievement planning.

Entry Requirements

To apply for a postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA/LLM) at the University of Bedfordshire you should have a good honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate subject from a recognised university or HE institution.

We will also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications or appropriate work experience.

English language requirements

The University accepts the following qualification as satisfying the English Language requirements for entry to a Bachelor or Master's degree.

  • UKVI Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element

Course Details

MSc Accounting and Business Finance is designed to develop a number of transferable skills which along with the knowledge and understanding of the relevant theories and concepts will provide our graduates with all those abilities required for a successful career. The different methods used to assess student performance are designed to evaluate the following: Research and literature review skills, data handling, application, numeracy, computer literacy, ability to contextualize and evaluate, presentation skills and professionalism, and collaboration.
