The University of Portsmouth has earned business accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in recognition of the outstanding quality of its business and management education.
Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide.
Through its business accreditation, the AACSB recognises institutions that meet the highest international standards of excellence in business education. It also encourages continuous improvement, leading to a better student experience through enhanced courses, academic staff qualifications and engagement, and educational resources.
This recognition validates Portsmouth’s place among the world’s best business schools and provides assurance of the quality of its business and management education and research. This is particularly important for prospective students and making graduates more attractive to potential employers.
A total of 1,013 institutions across 60 countries and territories have now earned AACSB accreditation in business, with currently only around 30 UK universities. Furthermore, 194 institutions maintain supplemental AACSB accreditation for their accounting programs.
