Entry Requirements

Undergraduate:

For admission to one of ARU London's degree courses, our standard requirement is 104 UCAS tariff points from 3 A levels, eg BCC. 

Alternatively, we ask for:

  • Irish Leaving Certificate, BBCCC
  • Scottish Highers BBCCC
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DMM in a business-related subject
  • IBDP: 24 points
  • A recognised international equivalent

We also welcome applications from mature individuals without formal entry qualifications who can demonstrate appropriate, relevant work experience. 

All applicants are also required to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at a Grade C/4 or above (including English and Maths).

Students whose first language is not English and who have not previously studied in the UK are required to have IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 for each sub-set or equivalent. Our published entry requirements are a guide only and our decision will be based on your overall suitability for the course.


Postgraduate:

Candidates are required to have a good UK honours degree or overseas equivalent or a professional qualification.

Students whose first language is not English are required to have a pass at IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 or a recognised equivalent.

ARU London will continue to consider applications up until the course deadline, provided places remain available.

APL/APEL Application:

ARU London, in common with other higher education institutions, recognizes that some students have a wealth of experience and other qualifications which could provide an exemption from some of the modules which form a programme of study.

Potential students are encouraged to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) if they can demonstrate the learning outcomes of a module (or modules) have been met. This application must be supported by appropriate evidence; usually in the form of certificates relating to previous courses and qualifications. However, ARU London can only accept qualifications that have been studied and passed within five years of the start date of any new programme. Any application must be made at least two weeks before the start of studies.

Scholarship

Undergraduate:

Entry Scholarship - A £1,000 scholarship in your first year could be available:

  • If you are from the UK/EU you would need to achieve 144 (AAA) UCAS points.
  • If you are an international student you will need to achieve A+ grade or a minimum of 80% or GPA 5.0 in your A Levels or equivalent qualifications.

Top Achievers – Scholarships of £2,000 are available for the overall top achievers in Year 0, Year 1 and Year 2.

Each year a number of scholarships are available to our top achievers throughout all courses and modules. The winners are presented their scholarships during our Top Achievers event which is hosted twice a year. The scholarship is applied to your next academic year tuition fees.


Postgraduate:

Masters Scholarship Programme

ARU London provides a number of scholarships each year across our three postgraduate intakes. All applicants are offered the chance to receive a scholarship of up to 50% off their Master's Degree. To enter applicants must write 750 words or more about their previous degree, particular area(s) of interest within the field of business, and why they wish to study for a postgraduate degree.

ARUL Alumni Scholarship:

All alumni of ARU London will be offered a £2,000 scholarship if they wish to continue their studies on a Postgraduate course.

Entry Scholarship

Any applicant who has achieved a First Class honours degree from a university in the UK will be offered £1,000 scholarship upon admission.


Sports Scholarships:

If you're a talented student-athlete, apply for our Anglia Ruskin Sports Scholarship worth £1,000.

We take great pride in the fact that some of the most talented sportsmen and women in the country choose to study with us. We also understand how difficult it can be to balance the demands of competing at the highest level with a full academic life when you first arrive at university.

We offer students competing at regional, national, or international levels, the opportunity to apply for a scholarship award worth up to £1,000 per year for three years. Each award is tailored towards the needs of the athlete and is delivered as a package of support that’ll add value to existing training programmes to help achieve both academic and sporting success.

Please note that only one scholarship can be applied per student, the scholarship with the highest value will be taken into consideration.
