The International College of Manitoba (ICM) is a designated learning institution that provides a variety of pathway options to prepare students for future year studies with the University of Manitoba.

Student experience the advantages of smaller class sizes, a supportive strengths-based atmosphere, as well as many opportunities for leadership and skill development as they progress through their first-year studies.

ICM offers two main types of programs:

  • Foundation Programs: These programs are designed for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for the University of Manitoba. They provide students with the academic and English language skills they need to succeed in their undergraduate studies.
  • UTP Stage I and Stage II Programs: UTP Stage I is equivalent to the first year of the University of Manitoba's Bachelor of Arts degree. UTP Stage II is equivalent to the first year of the University of Manitoba's Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, and Bachelor of Recreation Management and Community Development degrees. Upon successful completion of a UTP Stage II program, students transfer into the second year of their degree at the University of Manitoba.
