This degree is intended to prepare you for a career in the exciting and rapidly evolving entertainment industry. It's ideal if you want to combine the artistic, creative, and technical skills required to work as a 2D or concept artist in the games or film industries.
Painting, life drawing, digital sculpting, 3D modeling, animation, lighting and rendering, digital compositing, digital painting, games scripting, motion capture, cinematography, and post-production are all areas of expertise for our academics.

Career Prospects
Our graduates have found work as concept artists, illustrators, and 2D/3D game artists, as well as character and environmental artists. Playground Games, Fireproof Studios, Jagex, Antimatter Games, Testology, and Mirror Image Design are among the companies involved. Other graduates are working as freelance concept artists in the game and film industries.
Course Details
Throughout the course, you will learn the technical and creative skills required to work as a concept artist in film or video games. Traditional art techniques will be combined with digital painting, 3D modeling, and digital sculpting. VFX options will be available in both games and film.
You will work as a concept artist in a collaborative project with other game students to design and develop a full game in your second and third years. This is an incredible opportunity to learn what it's like to work for a real game studio while also receiving guidance and support. You'll be working with industry-standard software like Photoshop, Maya, and Zbrush.
