Entry Requirements

  • A first-class honours degree (grade 2.2 or higher) in a related computing discipline, telecommunications, or electronics/communications from a UK university or the international equivalent.
  • If you do not meet the above criteria but have significant relevant experience, your application will be considered if you can demonstrate to the University that you are capable of meeting the challenge of postgraduate work.
  • If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate that you are fluent enough to complete the course. A minimum IELTS 6 or TOEFL 550 (213 computer-based) score is usually required.

Course Details

Our MSc in Computer Science (Computer Networks and Security) is available full-time, part-time, or via distance learning. Whatever method you choose, your learning will be divided into three teaching blocks.
The first two teaching blocks consist of eight core modules designed to provide you with an expert-level understanding of networks and security. These include Virtualisation, Professional Switched Networks, Operating System Security, Professional Secure Networks, and others. There is also the opportunity to obtain Amazon Web Services certification during this time.
