- Honours degree of 2:2 or above, or relevant professional experience, in a related area. All applicants are individually assessed via a portfolio.

Course Details
MA Animation is intended to develop individual knowledge and skills while also providing a framework and structure that promotes independent thought. The course is divided into seven areas and is designed to take you through a negotiated journey influenced by your aspirations or career interests.
The first area of study is Animation Cultures and Critiques, in which you will investigate current debates and develop contextualisation for original work in relation to your aspirations and interests in the animation world. In Animation Story and Performance, you will also expand your existing knowledge of animated storytelling to become an expert in narrative, character, sequence, and movement relationships. While expanding your knowledge, you'll progress to practical development in Animation Design and Technologies, where you'll hone your experimental skills and techniques in relation to your career goals.
