MSc Mechatronics Engineering

MSc in Mechatronics Engineering is an exciting course designed to give you the knowledge, understanding, skills, and experience that are sought after by potential employers and industry experts.

During this year you will learn about the range and scope of Mechatronics Engineering concepts and techniques; gain an understanding of industrial systems engineering with a mechatronics emphasis to develop you for the area of Robotics, Machine Learning, IoT and Industry 4.0, or continue your engineering research; and develop a range of skills for academic and professional practice.

Entry Requirements

  • BSc or BEng (min Honours 2:2) in general engineering, electrical, electronics, mechanics or computing

  • EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in writing and in any other band) or equivalent.

Course Details

The course includes lectures, guest speakers, seminars, individual work, self-led work/research and group work. Group work brings together engineers from a variety of backgrounds to shape projects and tasks. As a day release course, you can immediately apply your learning to your industry role.

You’ll have the chance to work as a team member of individual on a project on the topics ranging from artificial intelligence through smart industrial robots, sensing and embedded systems to smart mechanical systems and products, intelligent industrial inspection, biomedical application and surgical robotics.
