Why study this course with us?

During the course, you will learn how to encourage young people’s understanding and performance of Drama through your subject specialism.

The Subject Enrichment Week for Drama trainees has to date included Amsterdam, Venice, Barcelona, and Prague. Trainees are given the opportunity to work with teachers, performers and academics from schools, theatres and university, as appropriate, during the course of the week. You will be encouraged to consider the historical and cultural context of the theatre and educational drama practice you engage with in comparison to that of the UK. A journal of thoughts and experiences will also be developed during this time.

On your return to the UK, trainees have devised group or individual projects, which formed the basis for schemes of work and practical workshops delivered at partnership schools.

The course is designed to ensure you are confident in all basic national curriculum requirements.

If you have any questions about the course, please contact the Subject Leader, who you will find under the Staff section of this course page.
