Please note, the Application deadline for International applicants is 5th June 2023. Any applications received after this date may not be considered for the September 2023 intake due to Application, CAS, and Visa processing time requirements.

We encourage Art and Design trainees to be:

• enthusiastic and confident in the classroom 
• pedagogically skillful and adaptable 
• specialists in the teaching of Art and Design: demonstrating practical skills and knowledge of subject history
• able to see their subject in the context of the whole curriculum 
• competent in several areas that cross secondary school curriculum boundaries 
• able to work as part of a team

• hold or be expected to gain a minimum 2:1 honors degree

• have GCSE Grade C/4 in English Language and Maths.

• IELTS: Overall 7.0 (no less than 5.5 in each band)

• For those who do not have IELTS or an acceptable in-country English language qualification, the University of Chester has developed its own

The service is inclusive, impartial, welcoming, informed, and tailored to personal goals and aspirations. It aims to help students plan their future, make the most of their time at the University, and enhance their employability. Services include part-time jobs, extra-curricular workshops, and practical one-to-one help with career planning, CVs, applications, and mock interviews. Group sessions on career planning are also provided within each course. Students and graduates can use these services free of charge for up to two years after graduation.
