A fully coordinated approach directed towards food quality, safety, security, and sustainability is needed. This course aims to develop your specialist skills and combine food science and technology, as well as nutrition and health to meet the challenges facing the industry.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have a 2:1 honours degree (or a 2:2 with two to three years industry experience) in any of the following: Food Science and Technology; Biotechnology, Biochemistry; Nutrition; Biology (with a strong Biochemistry component) or related subjects.

Course Details

The course is fully modular, offering credit accumulation and transfer options. It is designed with support from food industry partners and offers full-time and part-time/blended learning options. The course includes workplace mentors, online support materials, and University tutors. It is based on the University campus and partnership institute, and is built upon a research and development program for the food and drink sectors. The course consists of three-module specialist Postgraduate Certificates, allowing credit accumulation towards a Postgraduate Diploma and full MSc awards.
