This course will further develop the knowledge and skills acquired during your undergraduate studies by enhancing your ability to understand the interaction between the business environment and the legal and regulatory frameworks in which business operate. Throughout the course, you will be challenged to consider the broader aspects of the business environment in respect of legal matters. To do this you will encounter aspects of legal research such as socio-legal studies, the inter-relationship between the organisations and its stakeholder groups as well as the ethical dimensions that are considered in developing and operating the business entity.

Entry Requirements
Graduates with a good honours degree (2.1 or above) in disciplines other than law with a substantial law content may also qualify for admission on the LLM. For non-law graduates, a minimum of two years of professional experience that directly relates to the LLM taught modules is normally required. Applications from non-law graduates will be considered on an individual basis according to the applicant’s qualifications and relevant professional experience.
- The usual qualification for entry to the LLM programme is a degree in law, normally of at least upper-second class honours (2.1 or above) from a UK university, or its equivalent from an overseas institution.
- In the case of degree holders in disciplines other than law with sufficient and adequate legal content on the basis of merit, or
- Applicants with foreign qualifications on the basis of individual merit.
Applicants with English as their second language must show proof of competency in speaking and writing English to IELTS 6.5 band or above or its equivalent.
For all other elements, the requisite level of competency for which again proof must be shown is: IELTS 6.0 band or above or its equivalent.

Manifest advanced knowledge and critical understanding of legal norms, institutions and mechanisms relevant to international business practice, appraise the relationship that exists between business practice and legal norms and be able to evaluate critically the implications of the existing legal framework for business.
