Business and Management BA Hons with Integrated Foundation

For January 2022 entry, this course is titled BA (Hons) Global Management (Leadership & Change) with Integrated Foundation. All other course details remain the same.

This integrated foundation year has been specially designed to give you the introductory knowledge and business skills needed to confidently progress to degree-level study.

The Foundation year is structured around an entrepreneurial challenge, with modules that introduce the transferable skills you will need at degree level and beyond.

Once you have successfully completed your foundation year, you will progress to the first year of BA (Hons) Business and Management.

You’ll gain a solid grounding in management principles, together with a broad set of business skills. Building upon this foundation, you’ll develop specialist knowledge in your chosen course.

About this course

This course will teach you how to use creative management strategies to overcome challenges in the global business arena – successfully leading teams through organisational change.

Develop your skills as an innovative, nurturing leader – learning to manage the employer-employee relationship while implementing creative strategies to ensure a better working environment for all – gaining the confidence and capability to manage organisations across the globe.

Drawing on global case studies, you’ll gain a true insight into the different styles of leadership and the practical tools needed to design and implement initiatives, globally. You’ll explore, and begin to embody, the roles, traits and challenges of a leader – taking on managerial responsibilities within a real-life business context before critically reflecting on your performance to improve techniques.

You’ll also hone your creative thinking and learn to manage, adapt and respond to changes quickly, including new technologies, digital disruption, transformative operations and economic migration – learning how to turn challenges into opportunities and grow businesses at pace.

Practical, experience-based simulations and challenges with industry experts will expose you to real-world business issues and give you the strategic skills to combat them.

You’ll have the option to undertake an independent placement or enterprise project to gain further industry experience, or you can study abroad for a term at one of Regent’s international partners to broaden your understanding of management and enterprise in a global context. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn a new language – preparing you to work in an international arena.
