The financial services sector contributed £173.6 billion to the UK economy in 2021, making it an essential part of the economy. This MSc Business with Financial Management program aims to equip non-business graduates with essential business knowledge, personal skills, and financial insight for various roles in business and finance. The course is specifically designed for non-business graduates, focusing on financial management in the second semester.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for the QA Professional Pathways programs, which will enable them to further develop their skills with one of the UK's largest providers of IT and project management training.

The course covers general business functions, strategic management, data analytics, and project management, along with specialist modules focusing on financial technologies and corporate finance. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, studios, tutorials, and workshops, while students engage in independent study for around 30 hours per week. Assessment is based on assignments, presentations, group work, reflective reports, and portfolios.

Graduates who complete this program typically enter professional and graduate management positions, with potential career routes including finance and investment advisor, management consultant and business analyst, business and financial project manager, marketing and sales director, financial broker, and financial project manager.

The Advanced Practice stage of the course offers the opportunity to choose from four advanced practice modules, providing invaluable experience in real-world workplace environments, developing a successful business plan, or expanding skills. The program runs for 1 year (up to 2 years with advanced practice) and includes two summer breaks.
