You’ll have access to our European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC), which conducts international human rights litigation at the European Court of Human Rights. The degree is shaped by this socially influential professional experience, benefiting your studies in return.

Students can pursue careers as Solicitors, Barristers, Legal Executives, Paralegals, or community advisory roles. The LLB complies with academic requirements for Bar training, including the seven Foundations of Legal Knowledge. It also provides a good basis for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE), which was introduced in September 2021. Graduates can also study for Master's degrees before pursuing professional exams. Course Details

The LLB Law with Human Rights program focuses on English Legal System, Legal Method, Public Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Tort, EU Law, UK, and European Human Rights Law. Year 3 will focus on Land Law, Equity and Trusts, and International Human Rights Law, with an optional module. Students will develop knowledge and understanding through lectures, seminars, workshops, and self-directed study using resources like the library and e-learning. They will explore primary sources of law, examine the development of laws, and analyze legal concepts, values, principles, and rules. Cognitive and practical skills will be expanded, allowing students to identify and analyze legal issues, research and interpret primary and secondary sources, and evaluate the value of relevant doctrinal and policy issues in relation to human rights law and other legal topics. Students will gain confidence in independent research and information management, and can apply correct legal terminology orally in moots, presentations, and writing.
