LJMU's Wireless Communications MSc program offers a highly sought-after postgraduate program in the UK and international markets. The program is available as a standard full-time Masters one-year program (180 credits) or an extended full-time Masters 20 month program (240 credits). The 20 month route is designed for international students who wish to apply their knowledge to professional practice in the UK. The program includes a Group Design Project, encompassing social, economic, political, legislative, environmental, cultural, ethical, and sustainability issues. The 20 month route equips students with transferrable project management skills and helps develop effective teamwork. An alternative option is an industrial placement, which requires direct application to companies offering placements. Further information about placement opportunities will be provided during semester two of year one.

Entry Requirements

  • a minimum 2.2 honours degree in Telecommunications or Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

or

  • an honours degree in Mathematics or a physical science, together with experience in a relevant field

or

  • a degree with industrial experience or relevant postgraduate experience

plus

  • graduate or corporate membership of one of the following professional bodies: The Institution of Engineering and Technology, The Institute of Measurement and Control or The Institute of Physics
    • IELTS English language requirement: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each component
