The MSc International Business with Data Analytics programme will allow you to acquire mastery of both the macro and micro contexts of international business with a keener focus on e-business and data analytics.

More specifically, you would enhance your ability to acquire, develop, and integrate international business theory whilst developing the skills to apply such theories in terms of international business practice and a greater appreciation of how digital aspects and data factors could affect business conduct.

Your final piece of work, either the Dissertation or Research Project, offers you the opportunity to investigate an area of data analytics relevant to international business. The Master’s Dissertation option, provides the opportunity to conceive, design and satisfactorily implement a substantial research project within the broad subject area of international business, whilst the Applied Research Project option enables students to apply the theoretical concepts encountered on the MSc International Business with Data Analytics programme to an international business matter.

  • An Honours degree (2:2 or above) in  relevant subject
  • IELTS 6.5 (with no individual skill score below 6.0) 2 years before the course start date.
  • AS / A Level English Language and/or Literature Grade C

Course Details

The MSc International Business and Data Analytics Management programme focuses on applying theory and modelling tools to enhance innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and judgement skills in business and data analytics areas. The programme includes taught modules such as Corporate Strategy and International Management, Finance and Accounting for Business, and International Organisational Branding. These modules provide insights into the factors influencing strategy, financial statements, and financial reporting at national and international levels.
Subject-specific modules include Multivariate Data Analytics, which teaches the importance of multivariate statistics and econometrics in understanding big data, and Predictive Analytics, which provides the necessary knowledge and skills for performing predictive analytics and machine learning. Optional modules include International Entrepreneurship, Globalisation and Contemporary Issues in International Business, and International Business Principles and Practice.
Dissertation modules cover research methods and dissertation, analytical techniques, sampling approaches, and research ethics. If completing with Advanced Practice, students complete a 12-week internship and an additional 3-month internship in a company, providing future employability opportunities and allowing them to apply knowledge gained during the taught programs in real-life projects.
