The course team draw on a network of hospitality professionals supported by the competitive nature of the London market, because the city is a source of leading industry practice. This helps to ensure students have a qualification that meets the expectations of major organisations in the sector. For example, key professionals in this network of contacts currently include people working for organisations such as Marriott Hotels, Savoy Hotel, Ritz Hotel, and The Lancaster London, Red Carnation Hotels, Compass Group, People 1st, Claridge’s and MW Eat Restaurants as well as a number of smaller entrepreneurial businesses located in and around The City of London (subject to availability). While it is not possible to guarantee which guest speakers and field trips might be offered to enrich study on the course, the campus has the benefit of a central London location to make such opportunities relatively accessible.

Students in this one-year course will be encouraged to build on their previous study and experience and undertake in-depth study that will help them to develop their strategic and critical judgement. This helps to prepare students for a management career once they graduate. More specifically, they will be encouraged to develop a holistic understanding of the sector to set in context the different specialist areas found within International Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness Management.
