The MBA in Global Healthcare Management and Leadership is an exciting, vibrant, intensive course that aims to prepare students for successful careers in multi-discipline, healthcare leadership, and management roles globally. • Study on a contemporary, CMI accredited course1 reflecting the latest developments in healthcare management and leadership theories and inspiring and nurturing knowledge, aptitude and skills, which are needed to advance your career in healthcare.
• Develop an analytical understanding of global healthcare business in the context of an increasingly changing environment, through the critical analysis and evaluation of new concepts and managerial practices in addressing today’s macro and micro business environment.
• Take advantage of business simulations4 and apply the acquired personal and professional skills into real business situations, evaluating the results and developing solutions. Experience career-relevant teaching and learning, which maximises your exposure to the corporate world (e.g. employer workshops and periods of work experience2).

An honours undergraduate degree (minimum 2:2) or appropriate work experience in private, public or third sectors (a minimum of two years is required).

It is recognised that some applicants may possess more than one of the above. Careful monitoring of applications to ensure that applicants are suited to the course takes place. Where necessary, applicants are interviewed (remotely if applicable), especially those who do not appear to meet standard admissions criteria. Where deemed appropriate, a written exercise is administered to establish suitability.

English language requirements

• IELTS: 6.5 overall, (with at least 6.0 in each component area).If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme before you start your course. 

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

If you exit the course at the Postgraduate Certificate level, you will have demonstrated original and critical application of knowledge and integrative management thinking within health services and organisations. Those of you who exit the course at the Postgraduate Diploma level will have demonstrated original and critical application of leadership skills and integrative management thinking within health services and across health systems.

This is more than a management course. Managers are responsible for planning, organising, leading, and controlling functions within an organisation. But not all managers are leaders. This course will help you develop the skills needed to be a leader – such as communication, motivation, providing inspiration and guidance, and encouraging employees to rise to a higher level of productivity. You will graduate with a leadership qualification in the healthcare sector, offering you the possibility to work for the NHS, private healthcare organisations or academic institutions.
