Accounting and Finance for International Business top up BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance for International Business Top-up course is aimed at students who already hold a Level 5 qualification in a related field. Typically the student would hold a qualification such as a Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent professional qualifications.

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance for International Business Top-up is a FHEQ level 6 (single stage course), which is effectively the third year of a standard UK undergraduate degree course. The course is designed to appeal to students who are looking at achieving a higher qualification to boost their career or academic prospects by attaining a Bachelor’s degree, upon successful completion, that helps to prepare them for the international business marketplace or postgraduate study in the United Kingdom and abroad.

An Adequate proficiency in English must be demonstrated. Applicants must possess a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 with no component below 6.0 (or an equivalent English language test).

If you don't meet the English language requirements for this course, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a Pre-sessional English programme with us, before starting your course.

The course aims to develop students as individuals who are well-equipped to meet potential management challenges of the future. This course is currently accredited by leading accountancy bodies including ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW, which means you should be well-prepared to sit exams to qualify as an accountant, and you may be exempt from certain some exams with ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW. On successful completion, students should be well placed to pursue a wide variety of careers in finance, management, accounting, banking, personal and corporate finance and IT in private, public and third sector organisations.

Course Details

Coventry University London offers the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance for International Business (Top-up) course which is designed with specific emphasis on accounting, finance and international business. The design features aim to develop both academic proficiency and employability, to give students an opportunity to build a sound theoretical and intellectual base, complimented by a wide range of theoretical and practical expertise to help prepare them for potential employment and/or postgraduate study, upon successful completion of the course.

The aim is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the practical skills and experience required if they enter industry, and so that upon successful completion, they have the confidence to enable them to provide sound financial advice and make effective financial decisions.

Further, students will be expected to be more prepared in applying highly effective methods of communication, all of which are expected within industry. On successful completion, students should be well placed to pursue a wide variety of careers in finance, management, accounting, banking, personal and corporate finance and IT in private, public and third sector organisations.
