The course will enable you to gain knowledge of digital information security concepts and an understanding of how they are applied. You can benefit from a rich learning experience and detailed coverage of various digital security technologies.

Note: This course is part of the MBA Master of Business Administration

This pathway includes two cyber security management specialist modules and your project will be in this field too. There will be no reference to cyber security management on your degree certificate, however your transcript will show all the modules you took and the grades you received.

The course consists of three distinct but interconnected stages:

  • Certificate - The modern enterprise and business environment – how does it work? 
    The Certificate phase will develop a resource based view of the business enterprise and examine how value is created, including the impact of the wider business environment on the enterprise’s value creation activities.
  • Diploma - Preparing for tomorrow – what needs to change? 
    In the Diploma stage the focus shifts to considering the manager’s role in the development of an enterprise in response to the internal and external context, to create sustainable value.
  • Masters – Management in action – bringing about change 
    The Masters phase of the programme will focus more specifically on particular sectors and /or roles (including general management and leadership) depending on your chosen pathway. The emphasis will be on exploring, critically evaluating and applying a range of sector/ role specific models and concepts within a practice setting/ context.


The course will also support you to clarify and develop your career goals as you progress through and will encourage reflection on how your goals might be met.

Entry Requirements

An undergraduate degree in any discipline, obtained from a recognised university/HE institution, or an equivalent qualification in a business related area.

Participants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written English language equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no component less than 5.5, or TOEFL 600. If you have IELTS 6.0 you may be eligible to study our online pre-sessional English course.

It aims to enhance your capabilities to think critically, deal with ambiguity, and seek solutions to complex problems. You can develop a core knowledge of business models and concepts, and a strong understanding of processes and practices in order to develop your leadership, financial and project management skills.

As part of this degree you will investigate how management practice relates to wider societal, ethical and intercultural issues. You will consider the need for responsible, ethical and culturally sensitive practices in today’s global economy and the challenges this can present. The course will explore the wider external consequences of actions and decisions taken within the organisation, to develop your responsible management practice and help you climb the career ladder.

It provides you with the opportunity to gain a systematic understanding of the threats posed to organisations and businesses due to security risks. You should be able develop a comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy and technical approaches that are necessary to mitigate such risks, and to design security policies to protect the organisation’s assets within the context of global communications and the web.
