Your course will start with exploring the role of adult nursing in contemporary healthcare and the fundamentals of compassionate person-centred nursing practice. Years two and three will focus on your chosen field and will ensure you become a professional and competent newly qualified nurse.

Entry Requirements

  • Apply via UCAS.


  • Academic record showing GCSE Maths & English Language grade C/4 or above (or international equivalent).


  • IELTS 7.0 overall (7.0 in reading, listening, speaking; 6.5 in writing). Accepted waivers: CBSE English 75%; ICSE 80%; WAEC C6 (verified).


  • Personal statement explaining motivation, experience, and career goals.


  • Recent reference (preferably academic or employer) from someone who has known you 2+ years.


  • Online academic and Pre-CAS interviews (40 mins); attendance required.


  • Occupational Health clearance, NHS vaccination evidence, and UK DBS check before enrolment.


  • Additional statement if you already hold a UK bachelor’s.

Career Prospects

On successful completion of the course, you'll be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and become a registered nurse within the field of adult nursing.

Our course will open up a wide range of exciting career opportunities for you including working in clinical practice, management, education, research, or using your skills in the armed forces. 

Additionally, there are opportunities within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health to progress onto postgraduate study, including Continuing Professional Development courses, MSc or PhD studies.
