This course will prepare you to fulfill the dynamic role of a modern-day paramedic, ready for an evolving career, by combining theory and practical elements. The course keeps small cohort sizes, resulting in an excellent lecturer-to-student ratio, which means more support, education, and resource availability over the course of three years. The staff made the subject interesting to 90% of graduates.
Throughout the course, you will gain over 2,000 hours of placement experience in a variety of settings.
This course is endorsed by the College of Paramedics and approved by the HCPC, so once you graduate, you will be able to apply to register as a qualified practitioner.

Our degree is endorsed by the College of Paramedics and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). On successful completion of this course, you will be able to register as a qualified practitioner.

Entry Requirements

  • 112-128 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent, including 40 points in a required subject. BTEC Extended Diploma of DMM.
  • If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the 4 components or equivalent.
  • GCSE English Language or English Literature and Mathematics grade 4 (or grade C in the old grading system). We also accept iGCSEs, Key Skills Functional Skills, and other qualifications at Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework.

Career Prospects

This course will prepare you for work in the fast-paced world of emergency care by providing you with the skills necessary to work as a paramedic. However, this is not the only career path available to you; you can also work in other areas of the healthcare sector, such as minor injuries units or GP surgeries, or even in the private sector, such as on an oil rig.
Within fifteen months of finishing the course, 100% of our students were employed or enrolled in further education.
