You will graduate as an enterprising and entrepreneurial photographer capable of working in and shaping the media industries of the future. Investigate photography as a craft and a business by combining practical and theoretical approaches.

Foundation Year: For UK students who do not meet the entry requirements for the degree course, we offer a Foundation Year option. This extra year of study will provide you with a solid foundation in the media and communication skills required for this course and boost your confidence, knowledge, and skills for further study. You will progress to the full degree after successfully completing the Foundation Year.

Entry Requirements

  • 104 - 120 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent. BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM.

  • Foundation Year:

     

    48-72 UCAS tariff points.

  • If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in writing, speaking, listening and reading or equivalent.

The course is designed to give you the opportunity to build a portfolio in a specific area of photography that interests you, such as photojournalism, wildlife, fashion, or sports photography. This means you can tailor your learning to your career goals. Our graduates will be equipped with the business and entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in a competitive photography career.

Course Details

On this course you will usually be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit.
