Communication and the media have an impact on everything, from social media identities to global issues like "fake news," political polarization, and climate change. You'll learn the skills necessary to comprehend, evaluate, and create successful communication strategies. Gain a critical understanding of the influence the media has on culture and society, including how it promotes social issues and the emergence of "influencers."
Investigate communication theories that can be used in any media format, such as audience theories and narrative structures.
Work on real-world briefs with neighborhood nonprofits like Volunteer Centre Dorset, The Pantry Partnership, GECCO - Early Years Childcare Environment, and Dorset Road Safety

Enter a range of careers 

On this course, you will develop an interdisciplinary, practical skillset in multimedia design and production – including audio, video, scriptwriting and online publishing. You’ll have access to industry-standard software and technical production facilities on campus, including HD TV and radio studios.

Entry Requirements

  • 104 - 120 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent. BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM.

  • If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in reading or writing and 5.5 in all other components, or equivalent.
