Accounting and Finance BA (Hons)

Entry Requirements

IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in Speaking and no element lower than 6.0, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.


A levels

  • ABB Applicants with the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) are eligible for a reduction in grade requirements. For this course, the offer is ABC with A in the EPQ.

GCSE

  • 4/C in English and 4/C in Mathematics

Subject requirements

  • A level English (Language, Literature or Language and Literature) at grade A


BTEC

  • Level 3 National Extended Diploma
  • Applications considered. BTEC in a humanities-related subject plus A-level English at grade A required

Course Details

In addition to being able to demonstrate an understanding of fundamental accounting and finance concepts and principles while analyzing introductory quantitative and qualitative techniques, your first year of study will provide you with a foundation for deeper study of accounting issues in the following stages of the programme. You will also begin to develop key employability skills needed for roles requiring personal responsibility.
This program was created to ensure that our graduates can apply for as many exemptions from professional accounting qualifications as possible after completing their degree studies. This means that many of our modules, including all of those in year one, are required. In your second year of study, you will begin to build on your foundation.
