Entry Requirements

Please note: This course is available to international students only. It is designed for overseas qualified nurses who have already completed a relevant Level 5 qualification and wish to continue their education at the University of Greenwich to achieve BSC (Hons) degree award.

  • Applicants must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Nurse in their home country and working as a qualified nurse within the last 12 months.
  • Applicants will be required to meet registration criteria from their country of origin, and their qualifications must be comparable to UK Higher Education Diploma level (level 5) as recognised by ENIC.
  • Applicants must have 240 credits of which 120 credit -level 4 and 120 credit-level 5 (an equivalent to Diploma in Higher Education) to enrol on this programme at level 6.
  • An appropriate visa for entry to study in the UK.

In addition you will need:

Applicants must show prior study in English or achieve a minimum IELTS overall score of 6.5 and minimum 6.0 in each component (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) or equivalent rating in another Secure English Language Test.

Do you provide employability services?

You may choose to apply to work in the UK after completing your studies. If you wish to work as a qualified nurse in the UK, you will need to successfully complete the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Test of Competence as well as OSCE(Objective Structured Clinical Examination) in Nursing. You will also be required to evidence your knowledge of English. Note: "This course does not confer NMC registration or a nursing PIN. However, its designed to support internationally educated nurses in consolidating their knowledge and skills, providing a foundation that may assist in preparation for NMC Registration."
