Course Details

Throughout this three-year course, you'll be introduced to a variety of topics that are fundamental to the running of any business. You’ll also gain a crucial understanding of the wider context that businesses operate in, whether economic, technological or social.

The first year lays the foundations of your business knowledge by covering fundamental topics such as marketing, business intelligence and professional development. At the end of the first year, you'l have developed an understanding of how organisations function through their staff, through data analysis and through their relationship with the wider, global economy.

The second year builds on this basis by covering specific topics across the management spectrum, including business law, finance and project management. This is complemented by modules that introduce an ethical framework for business, looking at corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability in particular.

In the final year, you’ll learn how to apply these core building blocks of business in practical projects – a management report and dissertation – as well as through modules that address wider questions about entrepreneurship and the changing nature of business in the 21st century.

At the end of your degree, you'll not only have a practical understanding of how businesses operate on a day-to-day basis but a deeper awareness of the role that businesses play in society and the professional tools to enter a managerial career or start your own business.
