This degree has been designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the field of environmental science, as well as an examination of how humans shape the world around us and how humanity can address the issues that arise as a result. Gain hands-on experience through fieldwork, lab work, computing, data analysis, report writing, and job placements.
Fieldwork is conducted in a variety of stimulating environments, including the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, the East Devon World Heritage Coast, and the New Forest.

Our students collaborate with professional practitioners to co-create featured projects with our staff.

Foundation year: For UK students who do not meet the entry requirements for the degree course, we offer a foundation year. This additional year of study will provide you with a solid foundation in the scientific skills required for environmental science and boost your confidence, knowledge, and skills for future studies. You will progress to the full degree after completing the foundation year.

Accreditation by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) provides an indicator of quality and indicates that an educational institute is planning the career paths of its students. You’ll also be able to apply for free student membership in the institution.

Entry Requirements

  • 104 - 120 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent. BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM.

  • Foundation year

    : 48-72 UCAS tariff points.

     

  • If English is not your first la

    nguage you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the components or equivalent.

  • Science Technician
  • Academic Researcher.

Course Details

This course integrates a variety of teaching methods including lectures, laboratory-based practicals, field exercises, group activities and research project meetings for both theoretical and reflective-based learning.
